The question on what will happen to a criminal when he is possessed by a darker, evil spirit is answered in this half-terrifying, half-exciting game in the
Xbox game console. I think the Darkness which will be released soon will grab most of the gamers' attention since its unravels the mysterious past and even scarier future of the lead character Jackie Estacado who is suffering from an evil power possession when he reach his 21st birthday. Actually, we got a comic series with the same title and plot so if you've read the comic book, the game is just the translation of the words out into action.
What's exciting about this new game is that the evil had been affecting Jackie's entire family and now that it reach the youngest member the clan, a greater action and horrifying plot is at stake.
The game centers on how you as a gamer will master the devil inside you and at the same time battle the corrupt police authorities and the cruel, tyrant Franchetti family. The graphics and voice quality in this game makes you think you're watching an
action movie instead of playing a game. Most of the scenes were set in New york City where crimes and violence are at its highest form despite the booming economy of the city. Oops, no offense to New Yorkers okay, that's just the way the game reflects our Big Apple.
Moving towards the game, you get to meet more criminals and members of the mafia in the city's slums and dingy hotels where most of the moving action scenes take place. What's interesting about this game is that, being possessed by a demon, you can summon your trusted Darklings, the game's version of evil little bastard gremlins who will attack any enemy that tries to get near you. One compelling scene is when policemen tried to raid the Estacado house, the tiny devils went on to put a hole on every body part of the vile authorities that they can reach through their drill. Whew, those killing scenes for a game are overly gory, brutal, morbid and surprisingly funny, really.
The sequel for the first console game from Koei about ancient Japanese realm heroes just got even better with more stabbing and beating action packed scenes. Taking you to the world of ancient Japanese realm, the new game is still filled with the anime-in
