It seems that movies that have massive effects on the American culture have transcended the virtual world of gaming as of late. There was the Godfather and now there's Scarface. The ultimate gangster,
Tony Montana, is set to conquer the world of gaming as well in Scarface: The World is Yours.
If you think that you're gonna relive the
movie masterpiece in your Xbox, think again! The developers of Scarface decided that instead of using the movie's plot as the storyline of the game, they wanted to create a sequel of sorts. Remember the final scene in the movie where the tough Cuban got iced? Well, in this game instead of being smoked with a chock full of lead, Montana miraculously escaped with his life and now, he's out for blood.
The gameplay is much like Grand Theft Auto, involve yourself in as much illegal activities as you can and take control of the city. You will be doing missions as Tony Montana and climb your way up to power once again. At first, you start with nothing but as you finish more missions, you earn money and eventually run things on a part of the city. What's Scarface without the
violence and crime? Nothing! So to help you smoke the idiots who think they're tough enough to stand in Mr. Monatana's way, various weapons are available in the game. Equip yourself with handguns, shotguns, rifles and rocket launchers and create chaos on the streets and let your enemies know you mean business. As you progress, your status in the underworld of crime elevates and sooner of later, you will have numerous allies on your side.
Although Mr. Pacino's voice was not used in the game, he selected the guy who would do his character in the game himself. The voice talents in the game include actors such as James Woods, Mike Rappaport and even Cheech Marin.
