So I checked it out by dismantling (oops, I do that quite often) the hard disk. Actually, I just detached it and turned on the console to see if the red light still flashes or some multilingual error message appears. If it's a system error, I'd be lucky if I could get in touch with an Xbox guy on the phone. If it's just a red light flashing, I could restart the console after testing whether it's the hard disk that's got the problem or not. If I got a frozen screen, I probably placed the console beside a source of heat, such as the TV. This also happens on when a disc malfunctions.
